Following piano studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School and Royal Academy of Music, Danny Evans began his career in artist management working for an affiliate of Universal Music in London. In 2011, Danny met Ronald Wilford, longstanding Chairman of Columbia Artists in New York, who brought Danny to CAMI Music and became his mentor and biggest influence until his passing in 2015.
Danny’s career to date has included collaborations with many internationally renowned artists including Juan Diego Florez, Sir Karl Jenkins, Lang Lang, Yu Long, Jessye Norman and Julian Rachlin. Danny also has experience in building the careers of rising stars, working with Ray Chen and Pablo Ferrandez since the early stages of their professional lives, and has been General Manager to Robert Trevino since 2013.
Outside the classical sphere, Danny was agent for the ‘Lord of the Rings’ film-with-orchestra production at CAMI Music for several years, and has worked with jazz greats such as Madeleine Peyroux, Jon Batiste and Chucho Valdes. Other projects have seen Danny produce tours of the USA and Europe, consult with international festivals, arrange sponsorship and recording deals, and self-produce concerts in venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Royal Festival Hall.
After seven years at CAMI Music, Danny founded Evans Arts GmbH in February 2018. The company’s mission is to bring effective representation to a small roster of artists, symbolising advocacy with integrity and a commitment to excellence. Danny’s primary focus is on giving artists and institutions the strategy and promotion they need in order to make an identifiable impact on today’s musical landscape, and to maximise their success over a long musical life whilst preserving their identity in an increasingly demanding and competitive market.
When time allows, Danny indulges his primary interest of the piano, pianists and piano music. Whilst at CAMI Music he appeared as soloist at the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall and on a Deutsche Grammophon album, and served on the jury of the 2015 Leeds International piano competition. He remains a committed Horowitz fan, and will often be found trawling the internet for hidden Horowitz recordings in his spare time.
Danny is also a Founder and the Chief Communications Officer of eNote Gmbh.
